What we do?
In a city like London which is brimming with talent from around the globe, Advaitha strives to provide a platform to skilled artists from Indian and other minority diasporas, integrating and incubating their artform in collaboration with the local community of artists in the London scene.
Our Vision
Like a mythical river, Indian culture, with its origins shrouded in the depths of time, runs throughout Bharat in enchanting confluences and tributaries, nourishing it with lifeblood. This perennial flow of culture has stood the test of time, braving the odds that threatened its very existence over the vicissitudes of history.
Advaita celebrates not just the antiquity of this civilization, but its singularity against the canvas of global culture, as enshrined in the name of this organisation. We also salute its fierce resolve to thrive and adapt to the times, staying relevant to every generation.
- Lack of integration with English artists and culture
- A vacuum of opportunities for Indian artists performing traditional arts, no incentive for young artists to learn Indian arts
- Fetishization of Indian culture as an ‘exotic’ commodity, unfit for mainstream consumption
- Lack of appeal among the next generation of artists and connoisseurs
The Advaitha Experience
Raga
A union of sound and spirituality, Indian music seeks to delve deeper into melodies, exploring the sonic universe within the notes. Its essence, while imbibing influences from around the world over millennia, has always been the search for the beautiful silence, ensconced in sound.
The oldest surviving musical tradition in the world, its influence and contribution to global music is invaluable and unfathomable. We wish to bring you this art in its purest, yet modern avatar.

Roopa
The soul of Indian dance is imbued in the meditative expressions of the mind, mirrored by the rigorous physicality of the body. A unique blend of dance and drama, it employs the use of facial and hand gestures for storytelling, along with graceful dance improvisation to move the story at the required pace.
India is home to 9 classical dance forms recognized by the Ministry of Culture, as well as a plethora of other styles.

Ranga
Ranga celebrates Indian theatre by producing plays that explore universal themes through global narratives. Our productions feature actors from diverse communities and languages, showcasing cultural exchanges. We also offer acting classes and workshops in Imprology, a unique improvisational method focused on unscripted performance. Our mission is to foster a growth mindset and unity through drama, bridging cultural gaps and emphasizing the art form’s enduring relevance.

Rasa
The British love affair with Indian cuisine, despite its turbulent colonial subplots, is a serendipitous tale with the happiest of endings. Arguably the most popular cuisine in the UK, Indian food has a special place in British restaurants and households alike.
At Advaita, we bring you the diversity of the subcontinent on a plate, its irresistible flavours satiating both the body and the mind.
