Jnanesh Kamath is a skilled tabla player with nearly two decades of training, beginning his studies in 2005 under Shri Naveen Pai. Since 2023, he has been delving into the Punjab Gharana tradition of tabla with the guidance of world-renowned maestro Pandit Yogesh Samsi in Mumbai. His performances have graced prestigious stages like the Marylebone Theatre (South Asian Music Festival), Bedford Theatre (Asian Strings Festival), The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Annual Youth Festival, and The Nehru Centre. Among his notable achievements, Jnanesh has performed a tabla solo at the Indian Embassy for the Wales in India Summit 2024, accompanied Grammy award-winning bansuri virtuoso Pandit Rakesh Chaurasia, and supported award-winning classical vocalists and instrumentalists across India and the UK. In addition to performing, he shares his passion for tabla as an instructor at the Chinmaya Mission UK in London. He is also trained in Hindustani classical vocal under Ustad Faiyaz Khan and Pandit Kumar Mardur, with eight years of dedicated study.
