Since 2009, Anusri has been a dedicated solo performer, specializing in Mohiniyattom, a classical dance form from Kerala that emphasizes grace and storytelling. Trained under the guidance of esteemed gurus, including Padma Shri Ananda Shankar Jayant (Bharatanatyam) and Dr. Sugandhi Prabhu (Mohiniyattom), Anusri has honed her craft from a young age of 5 under Kalamadalam Girija and later Ashwathy Anil. She further enriched her dance training academically with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Bharatanatyam from Bharathidasan University (Trichy). Notable performances include participation in prestigious festivals like Nishagandhi, Soorya Festival.She has performed on prominent stages across Odisha, Maharashtra, and was also invited by the Ministry of Culture in Kolkatta. Being an empanelled artist in South Zone Cultural Center, she has been lucky to perform in the Tanjore Big Temple and the Thousand Pillar temple, captivating audiences with her expressive and intricate choreography. Anusri’s work also includes the production Vishwanarthanam, a thematic exploration of the five elements, five percussion instruments, and the five Jyotirlinga temples of Shiva. The production intricately weaves poetry, music, and dance, highlighting the dancer and percussionist as central figures while collectively illustrating Shiva’s Universal Dance.
